SINCE WE LAST SPOKE NETSCAPE DIED!!!

In a deal between AOL (the owners of Netscape) and Microsoft over what software it will be able to use as its default web browser for its clients it seems that one of the webs original web browsers was the sacrificial lamb given in the process of settling the dispute. Support for the browser has been dwindling and now a decision has been reached to remove all support for the browser, leaving it official a dead product.

Microsoft and Netscape have indeed been bitter rivals since Microsoft launched its internet explorer product in the late 1990's, Netscape has been around since 1994 and it moved into a place originally held by Mosiac.
