ADSL customers who have gone with the 200mb lite usage ADSL plans offered by most of the major ISP’s in Australia have unfortunately had their months data allotment chewed up my a self installing service pack version 2 for windows xp.

Customers who had scheduled automatic updates running on their machines usually each month lost about 25mb out of there 200mb to microsofts automatic updates program as it updated their windows xp with the latest updates. However, when Microsoft released the new service pack 2 users with this set to download in the back ground suddenly found over night they had used up their whole 200mb data cap for the month and were now receiving excess charges for any data downloaded once this cap was used up.
