Optus Network Fault.
Optus is exploring the cause of mysterious fault in its network, which allowed some customers to hear the content of other peoples phone calls.
It was suggested that the fault was limited to the Optus pre-paid mobile service, however, since there is really no real difference to the network these customers subscribe to it apparent has been appearing across their GSM network.
Reports of the fault first appeared in detail on the Whirlpool website..
Some phone customers had to demonstrate the issue to Optus before the company would look into the problem, this is fair enough as telecommunications companies get numerous calls from users asking them to look into issues which often are user error.
